Competency Modeling

Competencies

Identifying what it takes for your employees to be successful increases the overall effectiveness of the individual and the organization.   HR Aligned Design works with you to uncover the critical management and leadership competencies, those sets of knowledge, skills and abilities specific to the success of your leaders and aligned with the goals of your organization.

Why are competencies so important?

To the Organization:

  • Sets an expectation of performance
  • Provides a common language for hiring, training, evaluating, developing and promoting talent
  • Provides a roadmap for improvement and development
  • Creates greater consistency in evaluation and accountability
  • Aligns people practices with corporate culture and organizational goals.
To the Employee:

  • I know what is expected of me
  • I hear a consistent message
  • I know what I need to do to improve my performance and advance my career
  • I will be evaluated consistent with my peers
  • I know how my role contributes to the success of the organization

After identifying the Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) we will help you to identify measurable and observable behaviors associated with each KSA.

Once identified, your competencies align all of your talent management practices with your organization’s values and goals. We will continue to work with your organization to develop strategy, processes and tools in each of these areas.
